The CERN Library comprises the Central Library and 2 smaller satellite libraries spread around the CERN sites.

Copy, printing and scanning service [top]
Photocopy
- Two machines are available for photocopying free of charge on a self-service basis on the first floor and on the ground floor.
- There are copy machines in the satellite libraries also. Please, contact the corresponding departmental secretaries or email to Library.desk@cern.ch if you'd like to use them.
- You are reminded that international copyright law allows the making of a single copy of any article without copying charge provided it is for personal use.
Laser printer service
- At the moment there are three laser printers in the library: 3-lib, 3-1-lib, 52-1052-can and 52-R01-OCE (the last two are photocopiers, printers and scantomail machines. On 52-R01-OCE you can also save files on your USB key).
Loan regulations [top]
Most documents found in the library catalogue, CERN Document Server, are available for loan. The normal loan period is 1 week or 4 weeks, depending on the documents, and is renewable if nobody else has requested the document. Please return the material as soon as possible within the loan period by internal mail or by placing it in the red box in the Central Library reading room.
